• DRN Exhibiting at UCW 2016

The following blog post was provided by Jeremiah Wheeler, executive vice president and general manager of financial tech for DRN (Digital Recognition Network), the presenting sponsor of Auto Fin Con.

In an evolving industry, it is important to stay informed so we know how to change with it. And the best way to stay informed: hearing from leaders and peers of the industry themselves.

With many keynotes, workshops and panel discussions occurring during the week of Auto Fin Con, and at times simultaneously, it may be hard to pick which one to attend. So I’ve compiled a list of must-see sessions for you — sessions that highlight what’s working in collections, how lenders are disrupting with new data and analytics and how you can adapt best practices for your organization.

Collection Excellence Roundtable: Tuesday, Nov. 14 @ 11:30 a.m – 12 p.m.

Pelican Auto Finance’s Chris Mitcham, World Omni Financial Corporation’s Rod Arends, Ally Financial’s Jose Esparza and I will be leading a discussion about collections excellence. In this session, we will shed light on how lenders are upending the dated collections rules and days-past-due strategies to use new data and analytics to reduce risk and improve collections outcomes.

Best Practices in Alternative Data: Wednesday, Nov. 15 @ 10:15 – 10:45 a.m.

This is a panel discussion that features speakers from FactorTrust, CARFAX, Trust Science and Neustar. Join us as we discuss what’s new in the world of alternative data. Learn about new types of data and how, when and where to deploy that data in your organization.

Peer-to-Peer Collections Excellence Roundtable Session (Lenders Only): Thursday, Nov. 16 @ 8:00 – 10 a.m.

Finally, on Thursday morning, DRN will be hosting a Peer-to-Peer networking session. We recognize the brain trust held by lenders like you and have lined up your peers as moderators to help guide these discussions. Currently confirmed to serve as table moderators are:

  • Chuck Blommaert, Vice President of Servicing, Flagship Credit Acceptance
  • Jose Esparza, Senior Director of Recovery, Ally Financial
  • Chris Mitcham, SVP of Servicing and Analytics, Pelican Auto Finance
  • Anthony Payne, Managing Director, World Omni Financial Corporation
  • Brooks Stewart, Managing Director, Bridgecrest Acceptance
  • Debbie Venderley, Manager Collections Strategy, Hyundai Capital America

Join us for networking and breakfast, followed by table and group discussions around topics such as collections and recovery challenges, new data and technologies, and operational issues and solutions.

Exchange ideas and best practices with your peers in roundtable sessions. RSVP Today.

See You There!

These sessions are the best way to learn and see the new changes that are on the horizon for the industry. I encourage you all to attend at least one, and I hope you walk away with takeaways to better your company and move further along the path toward collections excellence.
