Welcome to the 2016 Used Car Week conferences. We’re so glad you’ll be joining us. For complete details on the terms that apply to registration and other important stuff, please read through the below.

Things happen. We understand. Here’s how cancellations work:

  • All refunds are subject to a Cancellation Fee equal to 8% of the total amount refunded. This offsets the processing fees we incur when you cancel and allows us to avoid raising prices.
  • If you cancel before October 14, 2016, you’ll get a full refund of the amount paid, less the Cancellation Fee.
  • After October 14, 2016, you cannot cancel your registration, and we will not provide a refund of the registration fees paid (regardless of whether or not you attend the 2016 Used Car Week Conferences).
  • Cancellations received after October 14, 2016 will receive a credit for the full dollar amount of the original registration that can be applied toward a future Cherokee Media Group event.

To cancel your registration (and get your refund, if applicable), you will need to notify us in writing at with the attendee ID# from the original registration.

If you’re entitled to a refund, the amount refunded will be based on the fees paid for the registration(s) you cancel and will be refunded to your original payment method – we don’t issue checks for refunds.

These cancellation terms apply regardless of the reason that you cancel (even if you unfortunately need to cancel for personal reasons, weather conditions or other stuff that’s out of your control.)

Please remember that canceling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. You are responsible for canceling your own hotel and travel reservations.

If you can’t attend, but know someone who really wants to be there, you can transfer your ticket for free. To transfer a ticket, please email with the full name, email address, title, and company name of the new registrant as well as the full name and email address of the person they will be replacing.

Please remember that transferring your registration does not automatically transfer your hotel and travel arrangements. You are responsible for transferring your own hotel and travel reservations.

Once you complete purchase of your registration, the purchase and rate is considered final and won’t be adjusted later. To be eligible to receive a free dealer registration, we’ll need to fill out this application. If you don’t meet the required criteria, you won’t be eligible to receive the free dealer registration, and we will charge you the full registration fee.

You’ll need to wear your registration badge at all times when attending Used Car Week conferences. To pick up your registration badge, all registration fees must be paid in full.

Attendees must be 18 years of age to attend Used Car Week conferences and all related events. If you’d like to request an exception to this, you’ll need to send your request in writing to

You have to be at least 21 years of age to drink alcohol, and you’ll show us a valid ID if we ask. Of course, all drinking should be done responsibly.

Unless we notify you otherwise, then you’re permitted to take photos, videos or audio recordings (collectively, “recordings”) at Used Car Week, as long as you comply with these terms.

These recordings might include content or material that is protected by copyrights, trademarks, or other rights which we own or license. So, other than for your personal use, you are not allowed to copy, reproduce, publish, or distribute the recordings without our written permission.

We allow – and even encourage you – to disseminate the recordings through social media (like tweeting, or posting to Facebook or Instagram), as long as the clips aren’t more than 1 minute in length and you are otherwise in compliance with these terms. Here are a couple of examples of what’s allowed: tweeting “#UsedCarWeek = the best time ever!” with a picture of you at the Expo Hall, and posting a 15 second clip of Paul Potratz’ Keynote on Instagram. Here are a couple of examples of what’s not allowed: posting a live stream of a workshop, and posting a picture on Facebook of one of our speakers after we announced taking pictures wasn’t allowed.

Now some important restrictions: you agree that you won’t use any recordings (1) in a way that is misleading or disparaging, (2) in a way that implies that the content of the recordings is your own, (3) for commercial purposes (this means, for example, you can’t sell them) or in a way that implies that we endorse, sponsor or approve of your business, services or products, or (4) in violation of applicable law or in connection with an obscene, indecent, or unlawful topic or material. If we request that you discontinue use of any recordings, you will immediately comply with our request. And of course, if we do notify you that recordings aren’t allowed, then you agree that you won’t take any recordings.

Now about recordings we can take: by attending Used Car Week conferences and related events, you consent to having your image, voice, likeness and/or presentation recorded. We reserve the right to use recordings taken at Used Car Week conferences and related events however we might choose to, without giving you notice or any compensation. We might use them, for example, in our press releases, marketing materials or other publications.

We want everyone to enjoy their Used Car Week experience. So, we expect our attendees to act responsibly. If we (in our sole discretion) determine that you are behaving in a manner that is – or could be – disruptive to the event or other attendees, or is in violation of these terms, then we can refuse to admit you to, or expel you from, the event. If we do, you aren’t entitled to a refund of fees paid.

You’re invited – and indeed, encouraged – to meet and visit with all of the great companies who will be joining us as official sponsors and exhibitors at Used Car Week. But keep in mind that “suitcasing” or “outboarding” is strictly prohibited at Used Car Week.

The views or opinions expressed by any event attendee, speaker or sponsor are not necessarily our views or opinions. All event attendees, speakers and sponsors are responsible for their own content (including presentations, marketing collateral, advertising and online Web content). You are not allowed to use any content that infringes another’s intellectual property rights, is harassing, misleading, or unlawful.

We want everyone to be safe at Used Car Week, and we’re guessing you do too. By attending Used Car Week, you agree that you won’t bring anything that could cause a safety hazard. All security concerns should be reported to Used Car Week staff immediately. Our security team may take whatever measures they deem appropriate without prior notice in order to aim to ensure the safety of attendees at Used Car Week. You must comply with the direction of our security team, as well as all rules and regulations of the facility where the event is held that apply to attendees.

We might make updates to the agenda from time-to-time, which might include a change in speakers or cancellation of certain sessions. We can’t promise the attendance of any speaker and won’t refund fees paid based on changes to the agenda. We also can’t guarantee admission to any certain session, since all sessions are subject to capacity limits and availability.

Used Car Week is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. If we are determined to have any liability to you, you agree our aggregate liability will be limited in all cases to one hundred dollars (US$100.)

Your privacy is important to us, so please read our full privacy policy here, which is incorporated to these terms by reference. We might share your registration data with other parties to provide event information, help improve your experience at Used Car Week or future events. For example, if we offer a mobile app, we might make this data available to the mobile app provider so it’s accessible though the app. We might also share your registration data with providers related to Used Car Week, like hotels, registration service providers and housing vendors. By providing your registration data to us, you grant us permission to do these things.

Please be aware that we may update and change any part or all of these Registration Terms and Conditions at any time without notifying you first. If we update or change these Registration Terms and Conditions, the updated Registration Terms and Conditions will be posted on this page. The updated terms will become effective and binding on the next business day after they are posted. When we change these terms, the “Last Modified” date above will be updated to reflect the date of the most recent version. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
